Records
Create collections with text, number, date, and other field types. The service checks records against those definitions when they’re saved. Your assistant can change fields, filter and sort records, and calculate counts, totals, or averages.
Do all SaaS go to heaven?
An experiment in finding the primitives all SaaS apps need, letting the AI assistant and agent build upon them via MCP, CLI, and/or API.

The Last SaaS is an experiment to discover which primitives are needed for a minimal SaaS application backend, letting Claude, ChatGPT, and other assistants handle the rest.
Create collections with text, number, date, and other field types. The service checks records against those definitions when they’re saved. Your assistant can change fields, filter and sort records, and calculate counts, totals, or averages.
Upload and download files in your workspace, and organize them by path. Each file keeps its name, type, size, upload date, and the account that uploaded it. Your assistant can list files by path and retrieve them when needed.
Invite teammates by email as members or administrators. View the member list, change roles, cancel pending invitations, or remove access. Each person can connect an assistant that acts through their account.
Assign access rules to individual users or roles. Set who can read, write, delete, or manage a collection, then restrict which records and fields they can read or change. The same rules apply when an assistant acts for them.
Send notifications immediately, at a specific time, or on a recurring schedule. Choose email delivery and whether to keep a notification in the workspace. Users can set delivery preferences, mark messages as read, and cancel scheduled notifications.
Review a log of record edits, file uploads, membership changes, and permission updates. Each entry includes the action, the account responsible, and a timestamp. Filter the log by action or resource type to find relevant activity.
What else do you think a headless SaaS needs? If something you want to build needs a missing piece, I love to hear about it.

Getting started
Create an account via the web application and then connect your assistant.
Choose your tool and how you’d like it to connect.
https://app.thelastsaas.com/v1/mcpOn a team plan, an owner may need to add the connector first. Claude’s connection guide
Once connected, send this to your assistant:
Walk me through the Last SaaS getting started tutorial.
Open the prompt in the tool you connected in step 2. Make sure The Last SaaS is enabled in the new conversation.
Connect that app in step 2 before starting the tutorial.
Desktop links need the app installed. If a link doesn’t carry the prompt through sign-in, copy and paste it into your connected conversation.
Use the hosted service or self-host. Export your data with one command. Contributions welcome on GitHub. Permissive MIT license.
